Do I need protective equipment when I install Havelock Wool?

No protective clothing required

Wool fibers are completely safe and non-harmful. In contrast, mineral and glass wool fibers can be inhaled and absorbed by the lungs, leading some countries to classify these materials as potentially carcinogenic. These smaller fibers typically range from 1 to 4 microns in size (one to four millionths of a meter), whereas wool fibers are significantly larger, measuring over 30 microns. This size difference makes wool fibers much too large to pose any health risks. As a result, no special protective clothing or equipment is necessary for handling or installing wool insulation.
